Stemming from the seminar entitled “Homosexuality: Cultural Production, Citizenship and Health”, conducted by ABIA in October 2003 in Rio de Janeiro, this publication includes texts by activists and researchers involved in different fields of expertise and knowledge associated with homosexuality, addressing both structural issues  such as civilian rights and access to health, stigma and discrimination, desires and eroticism as emerging issues, among them, the new culture around homosexuality, bare backing and challenges of prevention, stages of life and public health policy.
