The National AIDS Policy Observatory (ONPA) is an initiative of the Brazilian Interdisciplinary AIDS Association (ABIA). It aims to promote a critical look at the trends
in the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Brazil and provide analytical writings on the politics of confrontation.
ONPA also seek to encourage the monitoring of public policy on HIV/AIDS through social participation, transparency and access to information.
Our strategy is divided into three areas:
1) public funding and pharmaceutical care;
2) access to quality healthcare services: the case of Rio de Janeiro;
3) rights, sexuality and AIDS.
